Hello everyone. I would like to let everyone know that there is now a new owner of Verrazano Pizza. Ryan and Sarah Banda have taken over now and are eager to continue the Verrazano Pizza traditions. I’m happy to say they are going to continue with all our existing recipes ( yes the ranch too).
I would like to take this opportunity to let all of you , the customers, know how wonderful and fun it has been to fulfill your pizza cravings. It has been a long, hard process that couldn’t have been done without all the people who have worked for me. If you ever saw an employee that was there for quite a while you can know that they were good people doing a good job. A special mention for Benny and Kenny who have been with me for more than a decade I’m not happy or sad about leaving you all, but the time has come for me to move on and take it easy and enjoy my life with my family. It’s been difficult for them as owning a business is a lot of work,as many know. There is much more to say about the VZ family on both sides of the counter but I’ll leave it at that. Again, thank you so much for all you have given to me, Felice, Ashley, Justin, and the rest of my wonderful family
My deepest and warmest regards to all who have passed through the doors of Verrazano Pizza
See you around Vegas
Ed
PS I’ll be around weekdays for lunch and dinner for a couple of weeks. Come support Verrazano Pizza and say hi to the new owners. And no questions about the ranch recipe 😎

Since I was a teenager there has been a little pizza shop on Rainbow just South of Westcliff that started out as a high school hangout and has evolved into our family favorite for over 25 years. Oh no, I just gave away how ancient I am! There are a few reasons that we continue the tradition of frequenting this establishment, of course the pizza is AMAZING!! However, this particular location has something that the others don’t….his name is Eddie. Actually, his name is “Chef Eddie” as he was affectionately labeled a few years ago by my then 4 year old son. Eddie was some older guy who would get cranky at the obnoxious kids sitting on the back of the booths, leaving a mess all over the place or with their pants down around their knees.
Fast forward 25+ years and the restaurant is still run by the same owner who doesn’t seem quite so old or cranky, time has bridged the gap. This former hangout has become a multigenerational go to for not only our favorite pizza in Las Vegas but the ambiance isn’t too bad either and by ambiance, yes, I mean Eddie. The previously mentioned old, cranky guy who after a few visits knows your name, your life story and how you many extra ranch dressings you’d like with your pizza. Don’t expect hugs and kisses but if sarcasm and killer wit are your thing then you’ll fit right in. Not only do my children frequent his establishment independently of me but they bring their friends. Then the next time I go in I get the low down on how my kids behaved. When my sister came to visit after many years away, the first place we went to eat was at “Chef Eddie’s”.
Now that the stage has been set there’s only one thing to mention, the ranch! That’s right, ranch! I have been asking, no begging, for many years for the recipe. I’ve even offered to buy it a gallon at a time, to no avail. Just so you know, I usually hate ranch, or maybe from a young age I was just spoiled by “Chef Eddie’s” ranch, now all others fail by comparison. If you’ve looked for a ‘neighborhood’ restaurant this is the one.
Let me add that we no longer live near the location of Verrazano Pizza and yet one member or another of my family ends up here almost on a weekly basis. We’ve been eating the chicken fingers here since I was a teenager, which is almost as long as I’ve been begging for the ranch recipe. If you end up at Eddie’s Verrazano you can tell him that Eileen sent you and maybe I’ll get my ranch recipe after all.
Eddie or his amazing staff can be reached at 702-363-1090. Or you can just drop by every day of the week except Monday and pick up a slice. The address is 240 S Rainbow Boulevard at Rainbow & US 95.
