LAS VEGAS SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS—PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELVES Allways call Police whrn you need their help.. We are so grateful 🙏 for them

Today, September 8, we hosted an event for which the organizer reserved our private room for 50 people. However, approximately 90 people showed up. Because food had not been purchased for everyone, the organizer told around 40 people that there would not be enough seats because we had set up chairs for only 58 people and asked them to leave. After the movie ended, approximately 58 guests remained, and the organizer asked us to place the food he had ordered on the buffet table.

The package was $30 per person, and we provided all the food included in the agreement. Unfortunately, some guests served themselves very large portions, and the buffet ran out. The organizer began yelling and blaming our restaurant.

We immediately offered to prepare additional food, but we explained that additional food would require an additional payment. He refused.

When it was time to pay, we asked him repeatedly—approximately ten times—and he continued saying, “Later, later, later.” At that point, we felt it was necessary to call the police.

When he finally signed the payment receipt, the signature did not appear to match his identification. With the police present, he was required to show his ID and complete the payment using his proper signature. Thankfully, our restaurant was paid.

Small-business owners work extremely hard. We want every guest to have a wonderful experience, but restaurants cannot provide unlimited food beyond what was ordered and paid for. If additional food is requested, it must also be paid for.

We are grateful that the situation was resolved, but it is very unfortunate that it had to reach this point to have organizer so unorganized and then blaming a restaurant

We are excited to announce a very special Kids’ Cooking and Boxing Class on September 24th at 4:00 p.m. at Via Brasil Steakhouse!

The class will begin with a 30-minute lesson from Lacey, where the kids will enjoy beginner boxing exercises, practice punching techniques, and learn basic self-defense skills.

Hi, everyone. This is Anna Gomes, and I want to talk about online bullying and harassment.

If someone is repeatedly harassing you through online reviews, social media comments, messages, fake accounts, or videos, please do not ignore it.

Take screenshots of everything. Save the person’s username, account link, comments, messages, videos, dates, and any threats. Create a separate folder on your phone for that person and keep all the evidence together. You can also send copies to someone you trust so everything is safely preserved.

Then go to your local police department and file a police report. Police departments have access to specialized investigators or cybercrime units that handle online harassment and internet-related cases. Here in Las Vegas, our police department has a Cyber Investigative Group.

Even if someone is hiding behind a fake name or fake account, investigators have tools and legal procedures that may help identify who is behind it. We may not be able to find that person ourselves, but the police may be able to investigate.

Do not think twice about protecting yourself. What that person thinks about you does not define you, but you still have the right to say, “Enough is enough.”

Keep the evidence, file a police report, and ask for the investigators who specialize in cybercrime and online harassment.

I am incredibly grateful to our Las Vegas police officers and everyone working to keep our community safe. Thank you so much for being here for us.

I went to Lexus of Las Vegas to have my car serviced, and while I was waiting, I saw this absolutely beautiful Lexus. The color is perfect—it is so me!

My name day was July 26, and what I really wanted as my gift was another rescue dog. I love adopting dogs from shelters and giving them the loving home they deserve, but my husband said, “Not yet.”

To get to the location on S Fort Apache Road in Las Vegas using public transport, you can take the #120 bus towards Westcliff Airport Express from Downtown Las Vegas or the #206 bus towards Grand Canyon Drive & Russell.
