🩷 MENU UPDATE - Oat fiber in Vevan Foods vegan P’jack cheese is certified gluten-free by GFCO

🩷 We have now verified with the manufacturer that the oat fiber used in the Vevan vegan Pepper Jack cheese is certified gluten-free by GFCO (Gluten-Free Certification Organization, less than 10 PPM)

Out of an abundance of caution, we temporarily removed the product while we completed verification. Our concern was potential cross-contact, as oats are commonly grown or processed alongside wheat unless certified gluten-free.

🩷 After reviewing the documentation provided by the manufacturer, we are satisfied with the verification and have returned the Vevan Pepper Jack cheese to the menu

Protecting our gluten-free standards and our customers’ safety will always come first.

PowerSoul food manufacturer and all stores are certified gluten-free by the Gluten-Free Food Program less than 5 PPM, and all of our staff completed a Gf certification class before working with us.

‼️ It has come to our attention that our Vegan P’Jack cheese manufacturer has recently changed their ingredients and now includes oat fiber.
‼️ Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily removed this cheese from all menu items effective immediately.
‼️ Our concern is potential cross-contact. Oats are commonly grown alongside wheat or processed in shared facilities or on shared equipment, which may pose a risk for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease. We will not risk their health, period.

We are actively working to verify whether this ingredient meets our certified gluten-free standards and will update you as soon as we have confirmation.
