Long before Montana had highways, ski towns, and trail maps, bison were already here.
The Big Sky Bison Burger is our way of celebrating one of the most iconic animals in the West. Hand-pressed bison topped with hickory-smoked bacon, cheddar, huckleberry-jalapeño BBQ sauce, and baby arugula on a brioche bun.

The Going-to-the-Sun Road winds through the heart of Glacier National Park, connecting mountain peaks, alpine meadows, and some of the most breathtaking views Montana has to offer. For generations, it’s been a summer tradition for locals and visitors alike.
Just down the road from Glacier, MacKenzie River grew up in the shadow of places like that.
The Going-to-the-Sun Flatbread pays tribute to one of Montana’s most iconic journeys with house-marinated portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, huckleberry-infused ricotta, pine nuts, fresh rosemary, and mozzarella.
A longtime 406 Summer Fare favorite inspired by one of the places that helped shape who we are.

Not every 406 Summer Fare favorite started in our test kitchen.
The Treasure State Tacos were created by our team in Belgrade, Montana, just down the road from Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley where the MacKenzie River story first began.
Packed with seasoned beef, pepper jack cheese, pico de gallo, shredded lettuce, and chipotle ranch, they quickly earned a spot on the summer menu and have been a guest favorite ever since.
Back for another summer and available through August 31st.

Some stories are told around a campfire. Others are told around a pizza.
MacKenzie River has always been the place you land after a long day out. The hike is done, the float is over, the sun is dropping. Somehow, everyone ends up here.
The Great Northern Pie was made for moments like that. Elk sausage, marinated portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, ricotta dollops, and Montreal steak seasoning on a classic tomato base. Hearty, bold, and built for the kind of appetite that only comes after a day spent outdoors.

406 Summer Fare is our yearly love letter to Montana and this Huckleberry Trail Dip helps tell that story better than just about anything else on the menu.
Goat cheese, chorizo, hatch chiles, huckleberry hot honey, and homemade cowboy trail mix inspired by the rivers, road trips, mountain towns, and long summer days that shaped MacKenzie River back in Bozeman in 1993.
One of two new additions to this year’s 406 lineup, built for passing around the table after a day spent somewhere under the Big Sky.
